This page describes what information is associated with Cashio’s marketing site and onboarding flow today: what we store on your device, what third-party tools may see, and what you provide when you sign up.

On this site we mainly use browser storage (localStorage / sessionStorage) to remember your accessibility settings, cookie-banner choice, theme, and (during signup) your wizard answers until you finish or close the tab. We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance. If you create an account, standard account and organization data you enter is processed and stored as part of providing the product.
The following stays on your device unless noted. It is not sent to us merely by existing—you control it by clearing site data or using private browsing.
Accessibility preferences
Stored in: localStorage (`a11y-prefs`)
What: Settings such as text size, high contrast, readable font, link highlighting, reduced motion, reading guide, focus highlight, and similar toggles.
Why: So your accessibility choices persist when you return to the site.
Cookie / privacy banner choice
Stored in: localStorage (`cookie-consent`)
What: Whether you clicked Accept or Decline on the cookie notice.
Why: So we don’t show the banner again after you’ve chosen. (Declining is recorded the same way; adjust site behavior if you need consent to gate analytics.)
Theme (light / dark / system)
Stored in: localStorage (typically `theme` via next-themes)
What: Your display theme preference.
Why: To match the site appearance to your choice.
Get-started wizard (temporary)
Stored in: sessionStorage during `/start` flow
What: Information you type while setting up—such as email, name, organization name, business type, country, currency, and timezone—until you complete signup or leave the flow.
Why: To carry your answers between steps; cleared when the browser session ends unless you complete registration (then relevant data is handled as account/org data).
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and how the site performs. Vercel describes Web Analytics as privacy-focused (e.g. not using third-party advertising cookies for this product); see their docs for details. Our cookie banner still records your preference locally and reflects general transparency about how we improve the site—you can also limit tracking via browser settings.
When you sign up or create an organization through our auth and onboarding flow, we process the information you submit (for example email, name, organization and business details) to provide Cashio’s services, security, and support. That processing is governed by applicable terms of service and may involve servers and subprocessors—details should be spelled out in your full product terms and DPA where required.
Cashio is a business product. This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as features change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy where the law allows.
